As a Safety & Training Specialist at San Diego Gas & Electric, I am dedicated to enhancing safety and skill development. I create impactful training courses that boost employee performance and ensure regulatory compliance, fostering a culture of operational excellence. Key achievements include: • Identifying compliance gaps in forklift training and ensuring crane operator evaluations meet Cal OSHA requirements. • Develop an entry-level driver training curriculum to comply with FMCSA requirements. • Licensing over 300 Commercial Drivers • Initiating a qualified rigger and signal person training program. • Achieving certification as an NCCCO Practical Proctor for various cranes, enabling employee certification. Scheduling and administering classroom and hands-on training for approximately 1,500 employees. I facilitate comprehensive training sessions on equipment usage, safety, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. I develop and update training resources, assess trainee performance, and provide ongoing technical support. I maintain accurate training records and collaborate with equipment manufacturers and engineering teams to integrate new technologies into our programs. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on various types of equipment and regulatory requirements. I am expanding my occupational health and safety knowledge at the University of California, San Diego.
