Anthony Guida

I am a proud union carpenter with 40+ years of experience building Chicago’s skyline and strengthening the labor movement. As a carpenter, my work included major projects like River City, Lake Point Tower, and Soldier Field. As a second-generation carpenter, I built my career on the values of skill, integrity, and hard work passed down by my family. I spent 24 years as a Business Agent for Carpenters Local 1 and over 30 years as a Delegate to the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters, championing workers’ rights, fair contracts, and safer job sites. Today I serve as President of Carpenters Local 1 and President of the Italian American Labor Council. Most recently, I was appointed as Vice President for the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council, supporting 53,000 members across Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Eastern Iowa.
