I head Rolling Mill operations with enterprise-level responsibility for yield improvement, asset utilization, and cost optimization. My role centers on translating production capacity into sustainable output by reducing process losses and maximizing operational efficiency across the mill. I provide executive oversight on critical performance drivers including yield erosion from short lengths, mis-rolls, rejections, and end-cuts, as well as specific energy consumption per metric ton of finished bars. Through disciplined monitoring, root-cause analysis, and structured process improvements, I drive measurable gains in productivity, energy efficiency, and cost competitiveness. In parallel, I place strong emphasis on leadership development and organizational capability building. I lead technical and managerial training initiatives to strengthen accountability, develop future leaders, and embed a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and performance ownership aligned with plant-level and corporate objectives.

As Head of Quality Control, I lead and manage quality assurance strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards and enhance product reliability. My role involves developing and implementing quality policies, overseeing inspections and testing, and analyzing data to drive continuous improvement. I collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality standards across production, procurement, and supply chain operations. Additionally, I oversee third-party audits, maintain regulatory compliance, and implement robust corrective actions. I am committed to fostering a culture of quality excellence through staff training and process optimization, ensuring the highest standards for product integrity and customer satisfaction.

In August 2024, #FaujiFoundation expressed interest in acquiring #AghaSteel Industries Limited, prompting a technical due diligence process. My team and I were entrusted with assessing #ASIL's rolling mill. We completed the task and submitted our report within the designated timeframe. This was the most significant task I undertook at Unisons Steel Solutions. Besides that, I was involved in designing mill layouts for several local mills and developing drawings for various rolling mill components intended for local manufacturing.

I began my tenure at Amreli Steels as the Deputy Manager of Production in February 2006. A key achievement during this time was overseeing the installation and commissioning of a tandem rolling mill and a Thermo Mechanical Treatment facility. I progressed to the role of Production Manager in 2008, then Senior Manager of Production in 2014, and finally assumed the position of Head of Plant in 2017.

I joined the company during its initial stages, when the project was in the planning phase. My duties encompassed: - Designing the mill-layout - Procuring necessary equipment for the mill - Estimating project costs - Creating schedules - Coordinating with vendors for orders and follow-ups - Managing correspondence with foreign consultants

Joined PSM as a Junior Executive-II in the Bar Rolling Mill section. Here are my achievements and responsibilities: Achievements: - Recognized with a "Special Award" from the management in October 2000. - Promoted from Junior Executive-II to Junior Executive-III in January 2000. - Received a "Letter of Appreciation" from the management in December 2001. - Designed a pass scheme for the successful rolling of φ70 and φ80 mm shafts from 150 mm² billets. - Developed a computer program capable of accurately calculating rolling force, torque, and power. - Enhanced the cooling bed's storage capacity, eliminating idle time required for shearing of rolled stock, effectively doubling its original capacity. Responsibilities: - Overseeing production activities on the floor. - Designing roll passes. - Conducting operation and breakdown maintenance of roughing and finishing mills. - Identifying and rectifying rolling defects. - Organizing accessories for each size based on the tentative production plan. - Implementing production plans efficiently. - Performing metallurgical analysis of rolls, guides, and other spares. - Managing inventory of locally produced spares. - Engaging in development and modification work. - Conducting changeovers of guides and mill rolls according to rolling programs. - Checking required rolls and pass sequences in the roll lathe section. - Operating control posts. - Creating drawings using AutoCAD. - Maintaining the production database. - Acting as the IT coordinator, liaising with the MIS department to provide updated information on shop production activities. - Compiling monthly breakdown and material balancing reports. In-plant training: - Completed ISO 9000 awareness training. - Acquired computer literacy training.

The company was formerly known as Hashoo Steel Industries, and it was taken over by Abbas Steel Group in 1996, thereafter it was called Abbas Engineering Industries. It was a part of Abbas Steel Group. I joined the organization as Trainee Supervisor in September 1990 and was employed by the company as Supervisor-I in 1991. Achievements: • Got promoted from Supervisor-I to Supervisor-II in 1993 • Got promoted from Supervisor-II to Assistant Operations Engineer in 1996 • Modified the pass scheme for the rolling of 100 mm2 billets which resulted in better production rate and lower production cost • Developed a new pass scheme for the rolling of 12 mm X 0.95 mm baling hoops which helped the organization in regaining its position in the market • Did analysis of roll failures and convinced the foreign manufacturers about the cause of failures, consequently the company received new rolls from the manufacturers free of cost • Modified the universal couplings of the intermediate mills thus reducing the production cost and down time • Altered the repeaters due to which the material loss in the shape of miss-rolls was greatly reduced Responsibilities: • Supervision of maintenance and production departments • Roll pass designing • Preparation of technical/mechanical drawings • Modification and modernization • Maintenance and operation of rolling mill equipment • Preparation of rolls with appropriate diameters for various sections according to rolling program • Development, inspection and inventory of spares • Maintenance of machine tools
