VP Engineering - Infrastructure @ NVIDIA
About
Over 25 years of leadership experience in technology startups, growth stage and public companies. Expertise spans building and leading cross-functional teams, product management, engineering, and running reliable, secure and massively scalable on-prem and cloud operations. At NVIDIA, I lead Enterprise Infrastructure & Security Engineering teams globally. Design, deployment and operations of Compute, Storage, Network Infrastructure in Data Centers (AI Factories, HPC env for chip/EDA & software development), Labs, Contract Manufacturing facilities for chips/servers/network products, NVIDIA office sites worldwide, hybrid-cloud on major CSPs, and global WAN/interconnect. Enterprise Security - drive Zero Trust program across NVIDIA to secure identities, devices, networks, applications, and data. At Uber, I led infrastructure teams that plan, design and operate Uber's data centers - Hardware Platforms (ODM), Network Fabric, Global Networks, Cloud Interconnects, and Software-driven Scalable Ops - to efficiently scale our worldwide operations. At Google, led software driven transformation of Google's worldwide production network - spanning traffic forecasting, optimized network design, deployment automation, and enabling programmable networks for safe and scalable operations. Prior to rejoining Google, co-Founded Fidelis Education to help learners focus on long term objectives and learning relationships by building competencies required for the workplace. Fidelis is backed by Accel Partners, Novak Biddle Venture Partners, APEI, Ulu Ventures and angels including Tim O’Reilly and Mitch Kapor. Prior to Fidelis, spent 8 years at Google in both Engineering and Product Management roles. Product Manager for several Google infrastructure projects including global edge caching solution, service management console for all services running on Google’s infrastructure, and usage based payment infrastructure for Google Cloud Platform. Managed 24x7 scalable, fault-tolerant and secure operations (primary on-call for all Google.com traffic; primary on-call for Google Search for over three years). Played a key role in operationalizing and scaling up multiple generations of Google's long tail search backend. Spent early career at PhyFlex Networks, worked on embedded systems, data networking, hardware/software codesign, architecting and implementing ethernet overlay on cable networks. Backed by Polaris Venture Partners. Dream, Build, Launch, Measure, Scale. Iterate.
