Annie Chang

Annie Chang is the Owner and Director of Business Development for the voco Laguna Hills Hotel and previously the owner of The Volarè Resort in San Clemente, California. She has been in the hotel industry for over 20 years, and has worked and circulated through every department from front desk, to sales and catering, to management, and finally ownership. Annie plans to open a chain of eco-conscious boutique properties around the world in hopes to provide luxury accommodations without compromising her passionate dedication to social responsibility by creating hotels that reduce our carbon footprint, utilize sustainable resources and sustainable goods, and create a green hotel experience, naturally.Annie currently sits on 4 board of directors, the CHOC Region 12 Board for Choice Hotels, the CHOC National Board as a Delegate, Vice President of the Taiwan Hotel Motel Association Board of Directors, and is the Founding President and Executive Board Member of Global Law Brigades NGO, a nonprofit she started in 2008 where she recruits law students and partner with the PeaceCorps and international attorneys to provide legal aid and conduct secular/holistic mission work in third world countries and tackle legal issues such as women's rights, land stewardship cases, and much more. Aside from her hotelier and NGO endeavors, Annie is also an investor of private REITs (real estate investment trusts), and acts as a shareholder and property manager for Taili Investment LLC where she manages real estate assets and investments in both commercial and residential sectors. She not only acts as an active agent buying and selling hotels/restaurants/investment property, but also works closely with investors, contracting companies for new construction projects, redeveloping, remodeling, interior design, and providing property management services for single family residences, apartments, condominium/townhouses, and hotels in Orange County and Los Angeles.In her spare time, she enjoys researching and building a network of scientists who are creating exciting innovations in the carbon capture and green energy space, volunteering her time to serving human trafficking victims alongside Polaris Project and the Orange County Rescue Mission, and going on secular and holistic mission trips all over the world to assist indigenous tribes with legal assistance alongside Global Law Brigades NGO.
