- Lead efficacy studies of CDK7 inhibitors as therapeutic approach in pancreatic cancer models; studied working mechanism and combination strategy both in vitro and in vivo - Studied microenvironment adaptation (immune cells and fibroblast) in response to existing and novel therapies in pancreatic tumors - Tested new cancer therapies: ATR/Wee1 inhibitor combination therapy in DDR deficient models; synthetic lethality of VPS4A/B loss in multiple tumor models.

- Conducted PD studies to evaluate in vivo bioactivity of new compounds including CDK7 inhibitor and degrader, CDK12/13 inhibitor and degrader, Pin1 inhibitor, DCLK1 inhibitor, CDK4/6 degrader, CDK9 inhibitor and degrader, FAK degrader, dTAG molecules - Conducted MTD studies to evaluate compound toxicity including: CDK7 inhibitors, FAK degrader, CDK7 inhibitors in combination with CDK4/6 inhibitor or chemo-drugs - Performed in vivo analysis of CDK4/6 inhibitor augmenting antitumor immunity

Study autophagy inhibition's impact on pancreatic adenocarcinoma development and treatment - Led research project to clarify dual functions of autophagy in pancreatic cancer development - Created a novel mouse model and syngeneic orthotopic model to evaluate the efficacy of autophagy inhibition in advanced solid tumors - Proficient skills in developing in vitro and in vivo assays including gene editing, microscopy imaging, cell death and viability analysis, etc - Scientific rigor demonstrated by two first author paper in Cancer Discovery
