About
♒I am an international water supply, digital water and NRW specialist with over 19+ years of experience in water loss management, hydraulic modelling, water distribution network design and digital transformation of water utilities across 15+ countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and Asia. 📡 I accompany water utilities in developing countries to optimise water distribution and reduce water losses. I help them to deal with messy networks, missing data, and limited technical knowledge. My role is to understand the hydraulics of the system, organize and digitize information, explain the basics of non-revenue water management, and develop NRW reduction programs. ⚒ I work within the teams of international professionals on projects funded by the World Bank, IDB, ADB, and KfW. My strength is building a positive, trusting relationship within the projects. My clients value that I know the inside of utilities – what data actually exists (and what doesn’t) – and can move projects from “data chaos” to “usable information” in complex, developing-country contexts. 🤝 I believe in giving back to the community and that collaboration always outperforms working alone. I enjoy networking, public speaking, and sharing knowledge. I'm an active member of the IWA Water Loss Specialist Group, regularly presenting at NRW conferences and contributing to industry guidance and initiatives — which helps me stay at the forefront of innovation and best practices in the sector. 🏡I speak four languages, and I have lived in 10 countries around the world. Haiti
Project: Performance-Based Technical Assistance for Operations of Water Supply of Cap-Haïtien, Ouanaminthe, and Port-de-Paix (IDB). Assistance for water supply network operations, supervision of the complete network renewal works, development of water sources and transmission schemes. Responsible for the analysis of the current and future water supply in Cap-Haitien, Ouanaminthe, and Port-de-Paix using hydraulic modelling, planning of the sectorisation and NRW strategy. Analysis of all available data, coordination of project activities, consulting on water supply and future strategy considering challenging social and economic environment of Haiti.

Water Supply and NRW Consultant
La Vega, Dominican Republic
Project: Consultancy for the hydraulic modeling, network sectorization, and development of a definitive NRW strategy, and water audits for 2024 and 2025 for CORAAVEGA Utility (Worl Bank). Responsible for coordination of field teams, measurement campaign, hydraulic modelling, sectorisation and NRW strategy of waters supply network of the city La Vega (population 300,000).

Water Network Sectorisation Consultant
Tunisia
Project: PAP SONEDE (Performance Improvement Program). Responsible for hydraulic modelling and sectorisation of the water supply network in the pilote site of La Marsa (Tunis) and 7 distribution dsitricts of Tunisia managed by SONEDE (12 500 km of distribution networks, 530 000 connections), including pressure management options, detailed design of hydraulic installations, preparation of tender documents.

Water Network Sectorisation and Hydraulic Modelling Consultant
Kathmandu, Bāgmatī, Nepal
Project: Management of the New Water Network Using Hydraulically Controlled Valves Actuated with SCADA. Responsible for the engineering, hydraulic design and modelling team. Coordination of the teams in Nepal, France and Colombia to design and model the control system of the bulk water distribution network (510 MLD) of the Kathmandu Valley and prepare the construction documents: control systems for 15 reservoirs with total volume of 120 ML, pressure monitoring systems for 70km of DN 400-1600 pipes. Building the first master model of the entire Kathmandu water network, based on the as-build plans, designs of the future networks, GIS data, site information.

Water Network Sectorisation and Hydraulic Modelling Consultant
Trujillo, La Libertad, Peru
Project: Water Loss Reduction Program. Responsible for hydraulic modelling and sectorisation of the water supply network in the pilote dsitrict of Trujillo managed by SEDALIB (population 350 000), including pressure management options, detailed design of hydraulic installations, preparation of tender documents.

Project: Consulting and construction services to reduce physical losses, sectorize, and regulate service pressures. Leader of the engineering, hydraulic design and modelling team. Technical Director for the investigations and construction works for the pressure optimization of 52 hydraulic sectors of the Cali city (3 000 km of pipes, population 2.2 millions), sectorization, hydraulic computer modelling, valves revision and replacement, pressure reduction stations, detailed design of construction works, hydraulic measurements, Zero-Pressure Tests, estimation of Non-Revenue Water and Water Losses.

Hydraulic Design Specialist
Cali, Colombia
Project: Renovation of the Water Supply Network for the San Andres Island (8MLN USD). Responsible for the coordination of the Phase I of the project (design): technical supervision of the hydraulic modelling and hydraulic, structural, topographical and geotechnical designs for the water network of San Andres (91km of 1”-12” HDPE, AC, PVC pipes). Scope included revision of the network cadastre y previous designs, analysis of sectorization and functionality of tanks, design of PRVs, macro-meters and pressure zones, designs for Phase II – renovation of the 26km of the water supply network and sectorization. Responsible for the supervision of the hydraulic design during the Phase II of the project (construction): renovation of the 26km of the pipes and sectorization of the total network (installation of 21 PRVs, 15 macro-meters y 210 valves).
