Helped plan and organize and administer the SALTS training program at Maranantha Bible Conference Center in Muskegon, MI twice a year. Worked in the office prepare materials for Grace Groups, producing quarterly newsletter, helping to maintain website and any other duties as necessary.

Worked with grieving families in funeral planning, and coordinator of funerals, did home visits to parishioners with mental illness and physical illnesses, made hospital visits to all Catholic patients at Bronson Hospital on the weekends, organized a Blood Drive and set a record of over achieving our goal by 40%, made presentation on depression and SAD, trained in case management of people in financial emergencies by St. Vincent de Paul staff, trained in presenting the "Five Wishes" end of life decision booklet.

Originally worked in the Employment Office, scheduling interviews, processing internal job applications, administering clerical testing to clerical applicants. Reviewing and screening resumes. Recruiting potential employees by placing ads in various journals and newspapers and traveling to various college career fairs. Also was Specialist of Work Family Programs, such as the Elder Care Program, Child Care Back up Programs, and Work Family Issue Seminars. Was on the Board of the Childcare Resource and Referral Agency. Also worked in benefits reviewing and entering Affirmative Action information.

In addition to working as an Administrative Assistant at WMU, I am working 15 hours per week as an MSW Intern at the Church. My primary responsibilities include care and support for parishioners, and other members of the community, as well as an advocate for Social Justice activities the church is involved with. I am active in the Just Faith ministry, learning about and ministering to the social justice needs not only in our community, but world wide. I make visits to the sick and home-bound at local hospitals, nursing homes, and in client's homes. I assist the funeral director by meeting with grieving families and offer support and assistance in planning and arranging funerals and acting as the coordinator the day of the funeral. I am training to be a case worker for the St. Vincent de Paul missionary organization, by interviewing and making decisions about granting funding to people from the community who are facing eviction, utility shut-offs, or other financial emergencies.

Work for the Director of the Criminal Justice Program, Dr. Ronald Kramer. I assist in placing our students in internship positions with local law enforcement agencies, courts, probation department and programs, several non-profit agencies. Provide administrative back-up to faculty in the Sociology Department.

Volunteered with mentally disabled adults, was involved in theater, choral, Latin club, candy striper, christian service to the community, Yearbook staff.

Over half way through my MSW program with a 4.0 GPA. Completed my macro-level MSW field placement. Am currently taking classes, then will be looking for my micro-level, Interpersonal Practice Internship, hopefully at a religious counseling agency.

My goal is to work in a christian setting providing one on one counseling for young adults, ages 16-30. Or run a program for young people in that age group to help handle all of life's complicated decisions and social problems during that age frame. i.e. college, finances, personal relationships, career decisions, moral choices, etc. Also very interested in PTSD and resilience in survivors.
