Ankit Kumar Shaw (赜帆)

Building end-to-end solutions for VTLA (Vision–Tactile–Language–Action) models, focusing on tactile-based robotic hands for humanoids and tactile grippers for robotic arms. Work closely with R&D and research experts to design, validate, and deploy tactile perception and multimodal reasoning pipelines for real-world robotic applications. Support overseas academic and industrial clients, translating their research and application needs into practical, scalable robotic solutions. Furthermore, act as a technical bridge between global customers and internal engineering teams, ensuring clear communication, feasibility assessment, and successful delivery. Overall work is to contribute to solution design, proof-of-concept development, and customer onboarding, with a strong focus on reliability, trust, and deployment readiness. 📍 Areas of focus: Humanoid manipulation, tactile sensors, VTLA models, embodied intelligence, and global solution delivery.

At NTU EEE, I’ll be working on cutting-edge research in Neuroscience-Inspired AI and Embodied Intelligence—integrating insights from biology, cognition, and robotics to push the boundaries of how machines perceive, learn, and interact with the world. I’m especially excited to explore how robots can be taught emotional and cultural intelligence, enabling them to work more effectively alongside humans in real-world environments. 🤝🌍 Additionally, I aim to bring these intelligent capabilities to the edge—by leveraging neuromorphic computing and accelerator chips for efficient, real-time deployment in resource-constrained robotic systems. ⚡🤖
