energy efficiency home surveyor
bedminster energy group
This was a paid, temporary role. In this role, I assessed home energy efficiency in various homes on assigned streets in Bedminster. The data I collected was compiled by the Southville Sustainability Group for its March publication on energy efficiency in the area. This job was very people focussed and as it was cold-calling I found that I my communication skills were greatly tested and I developed a manner to help people trust me and take the time to answer my questions.

online marketing director
comfort inn victoria
This role was full-time, temporary job during the summer between my second and third year of university. In this role I designed and sent newsletter campaigns via e-mail, initiated the interactive online mapping of local businesses for the company, designed and distributed flyers and vouchers to local restaurants, organised promotions for the World Trade Market stand, and created and maintained online promotional accounts, such as Twitter and Facebook (including a facebook ad that I convinced the company to pay for). Although I was only there for a month, I left the company with systems of marketing both locally with businesses around the area, and through social media campaigns. This role greatly helped improve my communciation skills (both over the phone and in person) with local companies and helped me appreciate the power of social media in marketing.
