I worked on recombinant protein production in microalgae with a long-term goal to reduce cost of therapeutic proteins (used as life-saving drugs) by producing/manufacturing them in a cost-effective manner. I was also engaged in another project where I attempted to purify SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein in mammalian cells for downstream analysis.
