About

Angela is an entrepreneur, advocate and visual storyteller whose mission is to elevate the voice of women around the world and change the way women are represented in media and advertising. Currently, she runs her own creative direction & photography company where she works with brands and private clients to develop their visual storyline. Through this work, she encourages media companies, advertisers and creatives to produce images of women that showcase realistic body types, racial diversity and an accurate reflection of the lives women lead today. She is also the Creative Director and Founding Partner of Trix Media, a new women’s media company and magazine that uses the power of storytelling, positive role models, and education to advance the quality of women’s lives around the world. Formally, Angela was the lead New York photographer for Shameless, a body-positive portrait studio. She serves on the associate board of Locally Haiti, and partners with nonprofits in Haiti to profile women’s organizations and women leaders across the country. Angela’s photography and travel stories have been published in publications including BBC Travel, USA Today, Vice and Bon Appetite. Her clients include McKinsey.org, Pampers, Bounty, Penguin Random House, The Economic Club of New York, The Anti-Defamation League, Nature’s Bounty, Revlon and more.

-Conceptualized and launched Trix’s inaugural print issue alongside the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher and managed the development and launch of Trix’s digital magazine. -Developed Trix’s visual identity and managed its integration across print and digital platforms. -Established a set of artistic principles to guide the selection of Trix’s visual contributors and the art direction of the media outlet. -Hire and lead Trix’s creative team including the team’s Art Directors, Photo Editor, Illustrators, Photographers, Designers, and Web Developers. -Oversee marketing efforts for the company including digital marketing, social media and newsletter distribution resulting in over 42K unique website visitors from readers in over 45 countries. -Sourced, hired and collaborated with photojournalists around the world on key elements of media production, from story conception to publication. -Ensure Trix's visual contributors are at least 50% POC.
