By nature, I am an organised person with a good eye for detail and a commitment to facilitating the smooth running of the office where I work. Working as part of a team in a customer-facing role, communication skills are essential. In addition to many years working in customer service roles, I have developed a telephone skills course and good leadership skills. Much of my skill set was gained during 17 years working at Grattan Mail Order, where I progressed from customer services to credit control and from there to after sales then Section Manager with around 25 staff. I was able to further build up my experience at Future Utilities, where I dealt with utility installations, booking requests from sites, scheduling engineers to meet installation dates, arranging highway licences and design approvals, and co-ordinating activities by phone or email.
