Education

Mass Communication/Media Studies, English Literature
I was heavily involved in many social organizations during my four years at Union College. I volunteered at the local animal shelter and tutored school children with the Bonner Scholars. I planned events and trips with the Spiritual Life Team. I oversaw dorm life as a Resident Assistant for two years. Theater, music, and writing were enormous parts of my life. I participated in plays both on and off-stage. I was in several choirs. And I won awards for both prose and short works of non-fiction. I also became very active in social justice movements through my work with both the Bonners and Spiritual Life. I learned about community organizing and the importance of listening. These years helped shape who I am today and allowed me to discover many passions I didn't know existed.
