During this period at the Institute of Medicinal Chemistry (CSIC), my work was based on the development of heterocycle compounds with as potencial agents for the anticancer therapy. During this period, I have carried out: - Learning strategies and techniques for designing potential bioactive molecules following a rational design. - Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of compounds. - Comprehensive general knowledge in organic synthesis as well as various methods of purification of organic compounds, both manual and automatic (medium pressure flash chromatography, radial chromatography and semipreparative HPLC). - Operation of equipment to characterize organic compounds (NMR, HPLC analytical, IR, polarimeters, etc.) and the corresponding study of the data. - Publication of the work in international journals and its defense at conferences, poster or oral communications.

Supramolecular chemistry Supervisor: Prof. David A. Leigh, PhD (Forbes Professor of Organic Chemistry) 1) Study of biological machines for the development of synthetic molecular machines. 2) Apply the previous studies for the design and synthesis of molecular walkers for nanotechnological applications and the structural and operational studies.

1) During the fifth year of study (2006-2007), I have got a fellowship for collaboration in the Department of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry under the direction of Reyes Babiano, PhD, developing a project based on the design and synthesis of organic compounds with applicability in nanotechnology . 2) Collaboration with the Department of Analytical Chemistry under the supervision of Carmen Mahedero, PhD on transverse competition in the university (Congress INDOQUIM in 2007). 3) I was awarded by "Caja Extremadura 2007" for the best records of graduates in the Extremadura University during the academic year 2006-2007.
