As the Applications Support Analyst, I support all the application development which includes legacy HTML applications, ASP.NET web forms v2/v4, MVC 4/5 web applications as well as any windows applications including Windows Services and GUI apps. I also support all the SQL Server databases in providing access to querying tables and making special SSRS reports.

In the process of converting an Environmental MS Access form application into a ASP.Net 4.0 web application with SQL Server 2008. The application will also incorporate the Entity Framework 4 and jQuery 1.8. I maintain all current web and windows applications that were developed in house along with administering the local SharePoint IT sites. In December 2012 a project was rolled out that was a conversion from MS Access forms to ASP.Net 4.0 web application that tracked complexes Engineering Projects. The application would also track budget amounts for various years and each projects assigned engineer can make status updates at anytime.

Converted a legacy ASP web application into a SharePoint application with lists and a custom web part for a quick search feature. Version 2 of the SharePoint application will mainly deal with customizing item permissions to only allow managers and the record owner to be allowed edit access. Also some of the lists will be updated nightly from a batch job that reads from other SharePoint site collection lists. Once the data is imported the application will also purge the lists of old and inactive records. Supported legacy Cold Fusion and classic ASP applications by modifying existing code for functionality changes and with bug fixes.

I helped a former colleague by creating a Salesforce.com trigger that when executed it grabbed the Account ID of the matching external ID in the Account object and added it to the new record being inserted into a custom object to link the 2 records. The trigger had to be created to handle bulk importing of several thousand records.

Database Administration that dealt with modifying and creating DTS, Stored Procedures and SQL Scripts to extract student demographic, student benchmark information like grades and courses as well as employee information from several databases for importation into our data warehouse, Superintendent’s Yearly Scholar Program, Blackboard, Point of Sale Cafeteria system, ID Works badge system and Encore Special Education System. Supported all of the student information systems which include the Health Office software, Point of Sale Cafeteria software, Pearson Student Management System, ID Works Badge databases and Encore Special Education Tracking System. Developed new ASP.NET 2.0 web applications to replace older and obsolete web pages.

* Developed a website with ArcIMS package for online use by citizens' of Alvin searching for information regarding bus routes, parcel information, etc. * Worked with SQL Server 2000 database that was part of the City’s Asset Management System. * Assisted with desktop support including installation of software and hardware, creation of new users and updating of website information. * Assisted with implementation of new software for Public Services facility.
