Leading grid and high voltage strategy for Aegis Energy’s UK network of clean, multi-energy hubs for commercial fleets. Own the end-to-end grid connection function across a 50+ site pipeline: connection strategy, HV distribution design, ICP/IDNO procurement, wayleave and easement support and regulatory engagement. Supporting the integration of BESS, EMS and on-site renewables to enable staged demand growth.

Provided independent technical advice to developers, investors and lenders across the full lifecycle of energy infrastructure projects, with a focus on BESS, hybrid renewables and grid-connected assets. Authored Employer’s Requirements, delivered technical due diligence on major supply contracts, facilitated Electrical HAZOP workshops and advised on G99 compliance, ANM schemes and constrained network solutions. Role spanned feasibility through to commissioning and operations.

Built and led a ten-person engineering team delivering control system integrations for grid-connected generation and demand assets. Worked directly with software development teams on PPC, EMS and SCADA architectures, Modbus/TCP communications and API integrations - bridging electrical engineering and software delivery. Oversaw projects across the UK, Canada, Texas, Australia and Japan, covering frequency regulation (DC/DM/DR), demand-side management and ancillary services for assets up to 200MW+.

Seconded to a large industrial client as the nominated Lead Electrical Engineer for the design and commissioning of a 30MW standby diesel generation facility within a complex private HV network. Conducted detailed design reviews and provided technical assurance in collaboration with contractors and systems engineering teams.

Designed bespoke solutions for integrating behind-the-meter and front-of-meter generation technologies on 6.6/11kV distribution networks. Led studies, designs and commercial proposals for generation, demand and energy storage connections up to 10MW, managing schemes valued at £500k+. Primary interface for key industrial clients.

As a founding member of the specialist Power Systems team in the Manchester office, I led multiple industrial and commercial projects across the UK. I provided technical advisory support on power systems related isues, collaborating with diverse design teams and supporting the building services and energy divisions within Arup UKMEA.

Working in a mission critical design group focussed on Data Centre design, producing electrical designs across a multitude of schemes at feasibility, concept, scheme and detailed design stages.
