Andrew Sutherland

Group Chief Executive Officer. 28 years of experience in renewable energy with the first 10 years in biomass and the last 17 years being with UPC in wind and solar with over 488MW going into operation during that time with 1,000s of MW in development, but also heavily involved in solar with 1200MW in operation with a further 1,000MW ready to build. Also leading the growing biomass and forestry ambition across the group with 70,000 ha of plantations in hand. UPC also owns a 320,000 tons per year animal feed mill in Australia as well as a biodiversity credits business. Involved in management, development, finance, strategy, construction and operational aspects of the business across Asia and Australia. Instrumental in raising US$120million of corporate equity and twice again as much in debt for the business during tenure in China and for the Asian/Australian platform.
