Responsible for taking care of band camp children; teaching them how to play high school level band music, give them opportunities to enjoy music, and also bring them to different fun activities every day.

* Research and write press releases for the main website (visityolo.com, formerly known as yolocvb.com). * Develop and improve website while promoting independent projects on the site. * Provide support as a receptionist, answering phones, greeting guests/clients, and doing practical administrative work.

* Distribute fresh produce to customers at various local farm stand events in Sacramento * Distribute and offer CalFresh EBT cash to the lower income individuals in need of financial assistance. * Also make cold calls to various companies and organizations to assist us in promoting CalFresh. * Engage and socialize with different customers as well as produce sellers.

As a child care development staff member at the YMCA, my responsibility is to oversee the children (K-6th grade) and help them develop in life through positive impacts; such impacts include character development (respect, responsibility, trustworthy, care, kindness, etc.), proper discipline, and the best atmosphere setting for the children to grow and learn. As a YMCA staff member, it is my responsibility to ensure that the children's needs are cared for. By being their friend, mentor, and teacher, I am able to reach out to them on a personal level and make a positive impact in their lives.

This was a two-year leadership program, theological studies and public speaking training. Everyday we had 2-3 classes and the rest of the afternoon we had mandatory study time. I also served the youth. I was their mentor and their friend, guiding them and counseling them, leading them to a brighter future. In addition, I was also a member of a service called Security Medical Emergency Preparedness (SMEP). The team and I were responsible for educating the students the proper procedures on how to respond in the event of an emergency such as natural disasters or even an active shooter. Every week the SMEP team researched and proposed protocols on how to improve the security and ensure the safety of the students and staff members. Overall, my experience in the training helped me improve my character as a person, become a confident speaker, and a global leader.
