As finance manager, i am responsible for managing the corporate, strategic and financial accounting and management reporting for the business, prepare statutory and regulatory reports, General Ledger reconciliations, revenue assurance and fixed asset accounting and reviewing the Company business model to ensure that the numbers are indicative of the expected shareholder value. I am also involved in developing business and operational strategies and plans for the Company. I also actively participate in providing a bridge between regulatory accounting and financial accounting.

Assistant Manager in Ernst & Young(EY) Kampala and with over 7 years experience in audit and other assurance services. I joined EY as an audit assistant in 2010 and rose above the ranks to Assistant manager. My experience covers statutory and management audits in various sectors including utilities, oil &gas (Upstream & Downstream), Insurance, Financial services, Retail and Commodities,Public sector and manufacturing among others. I was also responsible for the direction and supervision of audit assignments in line with the firm’s Global Audit Methodology (GAM). In this role, i liaise with client’s staff and executives with respect to audit issues and value added ideas coming to the attention of staff in the course of assignments. I was also part of the learning and development function and was involved in the identification of training needs, skills gaps, training and facilitating internal courses in the Ernst & Young Uganda practice, coaching and guiding staff on the different assignment teams supervised I was an audit transformation champion for Uganda office. This project was a Global EY project aimed at transforming the old EY audit methodology and audit tools to new seamless and technology driven audit tools and processes. I also worked in the Financial Advisory and Accounting Services as a lead advising clients on financial accounting matters.
