Mattel/Mega Brands 2013 to 2016 Mega brands is the largest toy manufacturing facility in North America with distribution to over 100 countries throughout the world. Megabrands was acquired by Mattel in March 2014 to become part of the second largest toy design and manufacturer in the world. • Managed all daily processes and activities within a 600K sqft warehouse, including a staff of up to 110 people during peak season. • Responsible for multiple distribution centers, in the Montreal area. • Ensured distribution centers were consistent with the company`s safety protocols and procedures lowering rate of incidents year over year by 60%. • Achieved financial objectives by preparing and executing an annual logistics budget of $12 MM, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action. • Created and reported KPI’s to senior management regarding efficiency levels and identified areas of improvement using Cognos and advanced Excel software. • Regularly assessed procedures and processes to optimize the warehouse and logistics performance ensuring that transportation/logistics met customers specifications resulting in a 98% + fill rate. • Responsible for carrier relationships including rate and contract negotiation, and terms of service and order routing process. • Audited transportation freight bills and payment approval. • Supervised carrier claims process, filings and settlement. • Oversaw all customs import/export documentation filing, customs claims, and duty drawback.
