* Prepares cases for family-based and court-based immigration cases for more than four years. * Meets deadlines given by the U.S. government for filing of all applications, submission of evidence, motions in court and other correspondence, tracks court dates with Microsoft Excel. * Prepares cover letters, motions, submissions of evidence, and affidavits for attorney review using Microsoft Word. * Writes affidavits on behalf of clients to attest to their bona fide marriages, good moral character and how they or their family members would suffer extreme hardship if they were to be deported from the United States. * Speaks Spanish fluently with Hispanic clients in order to complete the aforementioned tasks. * Answers phone calls and schedules appointments for prospective and existing clients; * Translates birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, affidavits, and other documents from Spanish to English. * Mails out packages to the U.S. government and keeps track of incoming payments and writing receipts for clients.
