Working with Barclaycard CCI team in Hamburg to deliver online banking phone applications and web service customer service tooling. Consulting, designing and engineering with OpenShift, Ansible, Vagrant, Docker, S2I.

Working as lead developer on NHS BSA site with Valtech. Team size is made up of 14 people. Developing to a SCRUMBAN workflow, tickets are pulled from Jira, and displayed on Kanban board with daily scrums. Day to day role involves working closely with the technical architecture to design and implement massively scalable, high available software to GDS standards, being the first team to deliver on time and pass GDS assessment in 6 weeks. Enablement, mentoring and management of the team of developers, ensuring high code quality through Sonarqube / peer review, and working to tight deadlines. Part of my time is spent working as DevOps, automating the deployment progress of the infrastructure as well as the application in AWS. Worked as a Software Engineer in a team of 8 members as part of the Rideways team. An 'agile' start up based around pre booked holiday taxis, an alternative to car hire and UBER. Heavily focused on Java, Spring and Angular, following best practise TDD for development, ESB with apache Camel, SOA with RabbitMQ, delivering 'monolithic micro-services' through AWS. Tech used on site - Apache Camel, Netflix Hystrix, JUnit, MockMVC, Angular, JQuery, Babel, Browserify, RequireJS, BEM css, SASS Grunt, logging through ELK stack, MySQL, Vagrant, Maven, Google Maps API, ElasticSearch.

Ongoing long term contract with Eddiewright working in partnership with Ukanguru business consultancy. Tasked with automating the manual processes within Eddiewright as seen on (BBC 3's The Ferocious Mr Fixit - http://www.am-online.com/news/2006/3/15/trouble-at-eddie-wright/11353/ ). Investigation and further analysis into business process, development and delivery of solutions to automate all paper based office work. Offered a role at Fleetsmart as developer due to my experience in the past and strong recommendations about the quality of my work and work ethic. Assumed the position of Lead developer within the team. • In my time at Fleetsmart I have architected software solutions to process high volumes of data in real time, from device through to client front end in a concurrent distributable and scalable manner to accommodate the volume of new customer connections.. • Changed the team culture from waterfall to Agile, having shown it’s success within the project it is now being used for all development projects in the company, integrated the use of Kanban to track bottlenecks in the development process and team task management. • Responsible for the design, development, testing, maintenance and stability of all Fleetsmart’s software and hardware infrastructure. • Management of a team of software engineers, responsible for HR duties around hiring / disciplinary and termination of contracts.
