Laser Targeted: When I have a goal to focus on, it's like I am a laser guided system. I can focus 110%, hit it hard until the job is finished and the goal is reached. Tree Inspired: The trunk is what continues to grow vertically (My focused goal), while the branches (Horizontal) are the typical day to day, tedious jobs I do. The company experiences growth, while the monotonous activities are dealt with daily. Growth Required: One thing I've learned about life is that when there ceases to be any growth, whatever you're doing gets boring. It holds true with work, relationships and any daily activities/hobbies. The moment you plateau, is the moment you'll experience loss of excitement, passion and overall contentment. You won't sense it immediately, but in a short amount of time you slowly become encumbered with a lack of joy in whatever it is you're doing. Continuing without throwing additional logs on the fire will eventually cause your flame to go out. You'll turn the world upside down to find something that tickles your funny bone again. I'm gonna tell you right now, that no matter what it is, unless you strive for growth, you'll never be fulfilled in anything you do.
