Responsible for leading a team of three while designing, executing, and reporting on standard work processes to ensure that the transportation solution for the client is fully maintained for accuracy and efficiency. Document and maintain client SOPs. Promote consistent growth via team alignment and regular retraining. Grow client relationships with training, reporting, and weekly calls.

Responsible for managing the integrity and accuracy of the client’s data within Transplace’s TMS systems. Manage daily operations for one of Transplace Southeast's most demanding and dynamic accounts. Assisted with the implementation of Transplace Southeast afterhours operations. Oversaw duties relative to less-than-truckload, truckload, intermodal, and expedited freight needs. Maximize revenue via logistic partners while maintaining service levels >95%. Secure and maximize utilization of dropped equipment. Transitioned accounts from legacy technology to Transplace TMS platform during acquisitions / mergers. Supported various clients and colleagues with operational training relative to TMS applications.

Manage transportation functions for routing efficiency to ensure accurate, timely delivery of shipments in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Develop and maintain positive communication with carriers and internal customers. Strategically manage day-to-day drop trailer pool functions (carrier assignment and accountability, appointing, daily reporting) to ensure raw materials are delivered according to schedule.

Serve as primary liaison on behalf of assigned customers represented with Transplace departments and other job functions. Initial point of contact and escalation for all customer requests, issues, complaints and responsible for communicating to appropriate parties: Operations, Procurement, Technology, etc. and ensuring root cause and corrective actions are communicated to the customer. Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews, ideation sessions, and other client facing business meetings or virtual sessions as appropriate.

Coordinated day-to-day operations relative to importing and exporting of expedited parts from international distribution centers and suppliers. Fast-paced, time-sensitive, and demanding work environment. Daily tasks include: Inquiries from freight forwarding agents, less-than-truckload, and truckload brokers/carriers. Drayage contractors. Customs brokers, Customs Compliance, and Volvo’s various international business partners.
