As a Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist within the Memorial Hermann Health System, I specialize in providing advanced anesthetic care for complex cardiac, thoracic, and major vascular surgeries, including cases involving mechanical circulatory support. My practice integrates the use of transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) for detailed cardiac assessment and invasive monitoring techniques to ensure precise perioperative management. As a member of the jury pool for the Harris County District Courts, I had the unique opportunity to engage in the criminal justice process, contributing to the fair and impartial administration of justice. This experience involved participating in voir dire proceedings, during which I provided insights into my background and perspectives to support the selection of an unbiased jury. Serving in this capacity required attentiveness, critical thinking, and a commitment to upholding the principles of justice and due process. It provided a firsthand understanding of the legal system and the importance of civic duty in ensuring a fair trial.

As an Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellow at the Texas Heart Institute, I trained in one of the nation’s leading programs for cardiac care, consistently ranked among the top heart centers by U.S. News & World Report. This fellowship provided immersive experience in managing complex cardiothoracic and vascular cases, including heart and lung transplantation, mechanical circulatory support device implantation, aortic surgeries, and advanced valve repairs and replacements. I honed my expertise in perioperative echocardiography, including transesophageal and transthoracic modalities, and developed advanced skills in invasive monitoring and anesthetic techniques for critically ill patients. Working within this world-renowned institution, I collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care for patients with some of the most challenging cardiac and thoracic conditions. This fellowship was instrumental in deepening my knowledge and enhancing my clinical proficiency in the field of cardiothoracic anesthesiology.

As a Categorical Anesthesiology Resident at Baylor College of Medicine, I gained comprehensive training in perioperative medicine, pain management, and critical care. My residency involved rotating through a diverse range of world-class institutions within the Texas Medical Center, including: • Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center: Focused on high-acuity cases, including cardiothoracic surgery and transplant anesthesia. • Texas Children’s Hospital: Specialized in pediatric anesthesiology, managing complex congenital and surgical cases. • Ben Taub Hospital: Provided care in a Level 1 trauma center, developing expertise in trauma and emergency anesthesiology. • Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center: Delivered anesthesia for veteran patients, focusing on general and cardiovascular procedures. • MD Anderson Cancer Center: Gained exposure to oncologic anesthesia, including challenging head and neck, thoracic, and abdominal surgeries. As a Reserve Lieutenant at Rice University Emergency Medical Services (REMS), I provided emergency medical care to the campus community at a supervisory level. My responsibilities included overseeing and supporting EMT crews during medical emergencies, ensuring high-quality patient care, and coordinating with campus and local emergency response teams. I played a key role in incident management, from assessing scenes to directing resources, while maintaining compliance with medical protocols and safety standards. Additionally, I contributed to the training and mentoring of EMTs, fostering professional growth within the team.
