- Assess HV power system designs for reliability and performance - Assess voltage and current transient behavior, high voltage isolation design, test plans, and procedures - Perform direct activities including simulation, modeling, and field demonstration implementations of integrated energy applications including (but not limited to) microgrids, mobile energy systems, data centers, building networks, and distribution networks - Lead and contribute to integrated power systems technology projects - Assist with or lead the creation of detailed project plans; collaborate with program managers to manage and track project progress - Collaborate with business partners to create compelling business cases and acquire funding or resources to advance commercial applications of CRT technologies - Serves as Principal Investigator in government proposal preparation and project execution

- Design hardware specifications required for distributed energy resource (DER) aggregation - Operational knowledge of DER metering, feeder automation, smart inverter, and battery energy storage requirements - Identify, initiate and build partnership projects with universities and research institutes - Run mentorship to development engineers as well as peers - Support engineering design for real-time data collection for DER projects - Support system engineering for select pilot project opportunities - Lead technical analysis to further Current’s expertise and demonstration projects in DER aggregation and smart grid technology

- AC and DC traction power substation, including 500/950-volt and 68 kV DC rail transit traction power systems - Execute traction power system analysis and simulations - Work closely with other disciplines and multi-discipline projects - Performs site investigations in substations and along railroad tracks - Conduct DC electrified railway systems technical studies
