I am currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Purdue University and will receive my BSME degree in the spring of 2019. Upon graduating, I hope to work in product development for a medical device or biotechnology instrumentation firm. I previously held a summer engineering internship at Milton Industries in Chicago, IL as an assistant to the head of engineering for this company. While there, I used Solid Works to design new products and conducted benchmark testing of competitor’s products in support of Milton’s new product line expansion initiative. I also performed many product lab tests to resolve quality issues and prepared reports, documentation and collected data to support engineering meetings and updates for the CEO. More recently, I have taken on part-time work during this academic year as a Lab Monitor in Purdue’s 3D Printing Lab where I design parts using Autodesk, assist students and maintain the 3D Formlabs and Luzbot printers.
