Prosecuting misdemeanor domestic violence crimes from arraignment through disposition. Managing a caseload of approximately 25-30 cases. Reviewing and investigating newly assigned cases, interviewing victims and police officers, drafting and amending complaints, conferencing cases with defense attorneys and negotiating pleas, and preparing cases for potential hearings and trial.

Reviewed, analyzed, and drafted pleadings as well as various discovery demands, responses, and motions. Discussed cases and litigation strategy with attorneys. Observed pre-trial and trial proceedings, including depositions and motion hearings. Conducted and attended client meetings.

Drafted discovery demands, motions and client letters pertaining to tort litigation. E-filed RJI s, Preliminary Conference requests, and motions with the court and addressed responses.

Observed and assisted ADAs in day to day activities, including trials, arraignments, hearings, witness prep, and voluntary discovery. Produced voluntary disclosure forms to be turned over to defense counsel. Assisted in interviewing victims and witnesses to gather information for pending cases.

Researched and analyzed various issues brought before the court. Reviewed motion papers and documents submitted to the Judge and prepared legal memoranda. Observed trials and collaborated with the Judge on courtroom procedure. Assisted in daily clerical activities.
