Responsible for providing functional and strategic Transportation leadership in line with the vision and core values of the company. Continuous improvement and development of the Transportation Management System for both HGV and Light vehicles to achieve top quarterly Heath and Safety performance. Development of the Transportation Management System to align with the standards OHSAS 18001, 14001, and quality systems meeting ISO 9001. Implementation of annual transportation budgets ensuring company and vendor compliance with all domestic transportation laws and regulations. Strategic planning and forecasting to support current requirements, and generate future growth within the Environmental and Energy Industry.

Responsible for providing functional and strategic leadership across Downstream in the Americas and for driving improvements in road safety in the Americas, both in HGV and Light vehicles, to achieve top quartile HSSE performance, continuing the journey to goal zero. Implementation and development of the Global Downstream Road Safety Strategy, and providing independent assurance of business compliance with regulatory, applicable industry, and Shell requirements.

Responsible for development of a system that provides a risk ranking profile for each company sanctioned driver through historical driving records, vehicle monitoring reports, motor vehicle incident records, and in-vehicle commentary observations. The individual risk ranking profile allows Weatherford management to identify and focus its efforts on drivers who have the greatest risk of causing a motor vehicle incident. Development of the Global Transportation Safety Manual that outlines policies and procedures for company sanctioned drivers and Weatherford management in order to prevent motor vehicle incidents, driving violations, property damage, and/or injury during the operation of all company vehicles driven on behalf of Weatherford International, Inc.

Responsible for developing and implementing the Commercial Motor Vehicle and Light Duty Management and Safety System in compliance with provincial and federal legislation. Development and management of the eDOT PeopleSoft and HSSE Communication Centre. Representative for Weatherford on the Petroleum Safety Association Canada.

Responsible for all operations within the District. Direct all Transport officers in the enforcement of various Provincial and Federal Acts and Regulations, and ensure compliance with the National Safety Code and Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance through the operation of permanent and portable weigh scales and mobile patrols within a designated geographical location.

Responsible for investigations relating to the activities of the transportation industry (Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance Inspector), providing educational and technical assistance, conducting National Safety Code Audits and PIC (Partners in Compliance) Education and Investigations.

Responsible for emergency response (medical and trauma), patient transfer to Edmonton City Hospitals, and ambulance apparatus maintenance as required.

Respond to emergencies involving fire, rescue incidents and dangerous goods incidents Perform fire prevention and inspection duties as requested Perform housekeeping duties of fire department quarters/hall Maintain fire department apparatus in a clean serviceable condition Participate in required training Adhere to fire department policies and orders Perform other duties as assigned
