I’m the Executive Vice President of Research & Development at Embla Medical, a leading global provider of innovative mobility solutions, with a rich history of award-winning advancements in Prosthetics, Neuro Orthotics, and Bracing.​ Founded and headquartered in Iceland with global presence, Embla Medical is one of the country’s crown jewels – for the best reasons possible. Its solutions deliver an incredible level of impact to the lives and livelihoods of thousands of people with chronic mobility challenges.​ Prior to joining Embla, I was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where I spent 13 years. I served organizations across the globe and across a range of industries, with main focus on the MedTech industry. My areas of activity focused mainly on R&D, Product Development and Innovation topics. I had the pleasure of leading McKinsey's Development Excellence practice in Europe, and its MedTech R&D practice globally. During my tenure, I was based in Munich, Tokyo and Madrid. Before McKinsey, I spent more than 10 years in R&D roles in the high-tech industry. By education, I’m an electrical and computers engineer, and hold a master degree in economics, as well as a master in business administration (MBA).
