Andreas Zaby

Experienced entrepreneurial leader and manager of public institutions and private companies in Europe and the US. It is my passion to contribute to technological, social and educational innovation for improving lives and society as a whole. As a former university president and CFO in the biopharmaceutical industry, I have built and grown small teams and large organizations with more than 12.000 members and have negotiated contracts in excess of € 500M. My responsibilities have included public funding contracts, VC-financing rounds and national as well as cross-border M&A transactions. I have consulted for large corporates and have frequently acted as an advisor to government ministries and parliaments at the state and federal levels. During the 2023 coalition agreement negotiations for the Berlin government, I served as a member of the CDU negotiation team. I feel honored to serve as a board member for multiple international NGOs and universities.
