Hello! I'm Andrea. I’m a Chicago transplant originally hailing from Michigan (yes, I can show you where I’m from on my hand.) I’m a huge lover of analog photography, hand lettering, coffee, miniature pigs, creative and critical thinking and breakfast. I’ve worked as a production coordinator on various commercial shoots through Ogilvy and Mather, but my true love is documentary filmmaking. I love dissecting a story and figuring out the parts and pieces that make it work. I’m most interested in social issue documentaries, but also character studies and pretty much anything that tickles my fancy. I'm strongest as a production coordinator, but I'm also capable in other areas of production such as shooting, lighting, audio and editing. www.msuoutofthebox.com. Built from the ground up by 10 creative students at Michigan State, MSU Out of the Box is a cross-country journey to discover how creativity connects us. Over our spring break, we stopped in Indianapolis, Nashville, Dallas, and ending in Austin for the SXSW Interactive Festival. In each city we worked with deserving non-profit organizations through the creative work that we specialize in—design, branding, communications, and social media—to help them help others. The documentary of our experience premiered at the Traverse City Film Festival in August 2014. In 2015, this same group of students traveled to Zion and Bryce national parks to document accessibility for the nonprofit The Disabled Traveler. In addition to photographing trails and documenting accessibility information, the group also made the nonprofit a new website, logo and social media pages. This trip was made into a documentary film that premiered at the 2015 Traverse City Film Festival.

Assisted in multiple areas of production through pre production, on set, and post. I was production coordinator for a client shoot that included four locations, ten actors and 15 crew members. I also ran audio on shoots for CDW and Kimberly Clark and was a production assistant for multiple shoots for clients like Oreo and Pinnacle. Additionally, I have edited videos for client pitches and internal meetings.
