On days I was not in the photo studio art directing food photography, I could be found editing film (yes, real film!) or tweaking and fine-tuning the many gorgeous cookbooks Weldon Owen produces for client, Williams-Sonoma. I thoroughly enjoyed all the attention to detail my job demanded. The work has sharpened my eye as a photographer and artist.

I was responsible for the layout and design of many Quirk Book titles. From photographing produce for "A Field Guide to Produce" to designing "The Brick Testament" – the stories of the Bible told through Legos, my job truly was unique and a lot of fun. In addition to book design, I was also responsible for designing all of Quirk's marketing materials. I feel I grew tremendously as a visual designer and manager of projects while at Quirk Books.
