About
A certified career practitioner with diverse experiences in higher education from working in student affairs, some academic advising, international education, workforce development & career development to having business and some marketing and social media management experience. I also have strong experience teaching credit and non-credit career development classes to college students and job seekers in the community. I’m a Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS), a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW), Career Coaching Intensive Certified from NACE, an MBTI-Certified Facilitator and an AAUW Start Smart and Work Smart Salary Negotiation Facilitator. I’m currently Professional Development Faculty and a Director of Career Development at the University of Pittsburgh. I also serve as the Vice Chair of the Mid-Atlantic Career Counseling Association (MACCA). Previously, I served on the Board of Directors for the Career Counselors’ Consortium for nearly 6 years, including as a Past President. I write articles and do interviews as a Global Education Editor for Wandering Educators. I’m a very creative and high achieving person who enjoys building engaging relationships and programs for various populations. I enjoy helping people develop and discover more about themselves. I am a collaborative and empathetic leader. I write and publish career development and some international education articles each year; I also have presented at various professional development conferences regionally, nationally and internationally, most especially on career and international education fusion.
