Its vision is rural empowerment through best practices, modern technology and values. With a mission to transform one million rural lives every five years through holistic development across Health, Education, Water & Sanitation and Economic Development by creating a scalable, replicable and community-centric model of sustainable development. Roles and Responsibilities: • Worked with 1275 schools, 806 pre-schools, and 39 junior colleges, leading a large team of professionals and volunteers. • Responsible for goal-setting, strategic planning, and establishing partnerships with over 15 external service providers including NGOs and government agencies. • Managed financial planning, budgeting, and project management for the Education vertical in conjunction with the District Team. • Planned operations, implemented programs, and monitored & evaluated interventions under the guidance of the Director of Education. • Worked in synergy with different verticals to achieve the holistic developmental goals of Swades Education in a scalable, replicable and sustainable manner.

Background of the project: Co-founded by Parmeshwar Godrej and Richard Gere, Heroes Project leverages the power of societal leaders and media to improve public health and social well-being. It offers a unique model that brings together societal leaders, media and entertainment platforms to reduce social inequities, share information, and catalyse personal behaviour change and policy change. Using proven communications, advocacy, and behaviour change practices, Heroes Project fostered positive change. Roles and Responsibilities: • As an M&E head, assessed the effectiveness of Heroes advocacy and communications modules and programs aimed at tackling HIV stigma through research studies. • Identified scientific evidence supporting the use of societal leaders and the “education entertainment” model for health and development issues. • Tested an innovative communications and advocacy approach in Bihar, focusing on maternal and child health, birth spacing, and age of marriage, which was endorsed by the Bihar State Health Department and garnered interest from potential funders. • Provided technical guidance and leadership to plan, monitor, and evaluate the efficacy of programs implemented by Heroes. • Conducted operational research to assess impact, facilitate result reporting, and network for knowledge dissemination and management. • Reviewed yearly plans and M&E data with the implementation team to ensure objectives were being met and took corrective actions if necessary. • Led internal, external, and statutory audits.

Roles and Responsibilities: • Led ASK’s efforts to build philanthropy and infrastructure-focused CSR intervention in India, including defining strategy, partnerships, networks, and narrative. • Worked with company CEOs and external stakeholders to articulate CSR investment, brand-building, media coverage and employee engagement. • Was responsible for setting up and leading CSR investments, growing from INR 35 lakhs initial investment to INR 70 Crs Rural Housing Project. • Co-led a focused fundraising initiative to seek support from HNI customers of ASK Group. • Set up an entire CSR wing to deliver on grant objectives, prepared financial budgets, monitored planning and utilization, and created systems to track progress and manage risks. • Led efforts related to amplifying CSR contributions and leveraged funds from a micro-finance institute to construct 7500 small houses to alleviate poverty.

Explored opportunities and strategic alliances to work with Government, NGO’s and Academic Institutions to ensure research-based teaching-learning practices and accelerate change management in educational process. Displayed professional excellence and leadership in promoting ‘Action Based Research’ in primary schools, MCGM; played a pivotal role in developing ‘model school’ (Education Resource Centers) in mainstream of education. Responsible for monitoring budgetary allocations and cash flow to the various activities under PESLE (Annual Budget of 2.4 Crore). Instrumental in strategic planning process by utilizing EMIS data effectively and monitoring the outreach programme interventions in 50 primary schools of MCGM. Successfully sensitized the school administration and Govt. authorities to adopt ‘Whole School Based Changed Approach’. Played a pivotal role in institutionalization of the outreach programme through monthly Coordination and Development Meetings in network school (managed by Aga Khan Education Services, India). Conducted follow up and reporting on the interventions both to the Govt. (Outreach) functionaries and to the Central Office (AKES, I); wrote proposal to raise funds form REACH India to upscale PESLE in Mumbai.
