I lead our Financial Services and Real Estate businesses, as Chairman at Piramal Finance and Executive Director at Piramal Realty. I joined Piramal Finance in 2019, and since then, the company has become one of India’s fastest-growing large ‘Upper Layer’ NBFCs. We’ve achieved a 50%+ AUM CAGR from FY22 to FY25, with our AUM reaching approximately ₹87,500 crore as of July 2025. Our business is diversified, with a multi-product (mortgages, used car, personal, business, digital loans) retail lending portfolio making up about 80% of our loans, and a balanced wholesale book comprising the remaining 20%. Our retail business has provided over 4.8 million customers with loans, including over 2.5 million ‘life-changing’ loans to underserved communities for affordable housing and MSMEs, all supported by our team of 15,000+ employees across 500+ branches. I also lead Piramal Realty, which is developing over 11 million square feet of residential and commercial space in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. We have delivered over 20 towers and 3,300 units across projects, with a strong focus on quality and customer centricity. Beyond business, I am deeply committed to philanthropy. I founded Piramal Swasthya, a healthcare initiative that has provided essential medical services to over 112 million people in rural and underserved areas. I also play an active role in the Piramal Foundation, our Group’s philanthropic arm, which has impacted more than 143 million lives across 27 states and 2 Union Territories. I hold a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School. My work has been recognized by the Economic Times 40 Under 40, Fortune India 40 Under 40, and the Hurun Real Estate Unicorn of the Year awards
