About
A bestselling, award-winning author and poet whose work ignites passion, transformation, healing, and raw emotion. I have two published poetry collections, am featured in anthologies and magazines, and have received recognition from Kirkus Reviews, Midwest Book Reviews, Independent Book Review, and BookView Review. As a three-time Readers’ Choice Award winner and Literary Titan Gold Book Award winner, I craft verses exploring themes of healing, love, and self-discovery, to connect humanity, one poem at a time. I lead sold-out poetry workshops both online and in person, empowering others to find their voice through verse. I have also served as a three-time Poetry Out Loud judge for the Decatur, Illinois competition and served as the scorekeeper's assistant for the Springfield, Illinois competition. A proud member of Decatur Area Poets, where I help to foster and increase the awareness and love for poetry within the community. I am the 2025 recipient of The Horace Livingston Writer's Award and 2026 Central Ave Poetry Prize shortlisted winner. Beyond the page, I am also a public speaker, traveling around the US, helping others to succeed, heal, unite, grow, and transform.

Call Center Representative
Macon County Mental Health Board
Placed calls to those who had Health Alliance as their health care insurance provider to ensure that they were up to date on their health questionnaires that would then prompt one of the nurses to make a home visit, address/phone number changes, and other details. Completed data entry of information from the questionnaires and submitted the file to the assigned nurse. I was the only employee with access to look up records. If the nurse made a house visit and the family no longer lived their and the phone line was disconnected, I was able to login into a database to do a search on the family to find any information that could help us located them.
