As a Development Engineer at Photon Control, I work with multidisciplinary engineering groups to develop products from concept to fruition. This includes Proof of Concept, Prototype, and Product development cycles leading to production release. The Service Engineering Team at Tesla helps provide service professionals with the tools they need to quickly and efficiently diagnose issues on all Tesla models. • Aggregated all logged Model 3 signals and their respective metadata together from various sources, and automated the insertion of this data into MySQL. Additionally, automated a documentation creation method for creating articles describing Signals on the Model 3 when new signals are added. Automation involved Python, MySQL, and HTML development. • Developed a quarterly process to ensure articles maintain correctness as signals and their metadata change with time. Process involves monitoring article feedback, making changes based on feedback in source code, and then running automated scripts to update existing articles on a cron job. • Created Auto-Diagnostic networks for detecting various CAN Bus faults on the Model 3, aiding service technicians in narrowing down potential root causes for a VOR, and saving approximately $80K/month in service costs. • Updated and audited Toolbox CAN Bus Articles for technical accuracy, while providing additional information on CAN buses for technicians to utilize. • Created a CAN diagnosis cheat sheet for technicians to refer to while testing Model 3s so that all the information necessary to test and debug CAN faults is at their fingertips. • Developed various Python scripts for automating tracking of completion of Firmware metadata fields, and for automatically updating metadata fields with new content that had been updated by Product Service Experts.

Neptune Bulk Terminals is a bulk commodity handler shipping potash, fertilizers, and coal through their cutting-edge facility in the Port of Vancouver. • Was responsible for managing and overseeing work order processing and documentation, corresponding with shop foremen to ensure that project scopes were clearly defined. • Developed a company-wide CMMS while coordinating development with other departments and utilizing metadata for document control and organization. • Oversaw the project management for large capital projects on site while organizing and scheduling identified work and corresponding with contractors to ensure safety standards are maintained. • Created document naming systems, document control standards, and standard operating procedures for maintenance documentation to ensure the tracking of document revisions.

Industrial Engineering Technologist

• Designed a seismic restraint to connect a 3D radar cooling cabinet to an adjacent wall to allow movement, but reduce the risk of tipping in order to adhere to industrial workplace safety standards. • Developed to manufacturer specifications, a piping schematic for coolant to be pumped through the radar cooling cabinet to ensure overheating of the cabinet does not occur. • Managed the organization of equipment to be relocated, replaced, or life cycled during the relocation of the Sail Loft Shop to the new workspace at FMF Cape Breton so that efficient work flow in the shops can continue.
