Ms. Peevey is an architectural engineer with specialization in building enclosures, building science, related structural systems and materials. Throughout her career, she has participated in a wide variety of projects for the investigation, evaluation, repair, and construction of structural, architectural, and material related building problems. Her experience includes the investigation, evaluation, analysis, repair design, and construction monitoring/administration for building envelope, structural, material and other architectural engineering problems. Ms. Peevey specializes in new design; building envelope commissioning; and failure investigation, evaluation, and repair design; and construction monitoring of building envelope and related systems. She has been an active member of several professional societies and has published and presented on building envelope related topics in an ASTM International special technical publication and for IIBEC (formerly RCI); Sealant, Restoration and Waterproofing Institute (SWR Institute); Building Enclosure Counsel (BEC); American Institute of Architects (AIA); Structural Engineers Association of Texas (SEAoT); and other companies or organizations. She is also an active contributor to organizations such as IIBEC where she is a Past President, Fellow, committee member/chair, and former symposium chairwoman, as well as having served on committees and/or board for other organizations including ASTM, SWRInstitute, and CSI. Since Building Exterior Solutions, LLC was founded in the fall of 2008, Ms. Peevey and her partners, Jerry Abendroth and Dale Clark, grew BES from a small consulting firm with three founding partners to over 20 employees performing consulting on projects locally in Texas, throughout the US, as well as overseas. BES had a Dallas office and a Central Texas office (Austin/San Antonio area) with its headquarters in Houston. BES services were predominantly building envelope related and ranged from forensic evaluation and repair design, new construction design or peer review, construction administration, and litigation support.
