My internship at Mahidol University , Campus Salaya, Thailand is about 2 months. I had study a lot about mosquitoes at Faculty Vector Borne Disease, Mahidol University. My tasks includes :  Conduct a mini project about transportation and shipment of mosquitoes  Handling pupae separation machine  Practice Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) I'm under the supervision of Professor Pattamaporn Kittayapong is an Associate Professor at Center of Excellence for Vectors and Vector-Borne Disease,Mahidol University at Salaya,Thailand. She did Phd in Entomology and has authored many articles in various scientific journals. She has research interest in molecular and developmental biology. Right now, she are famous in doing 'sterilization of mosquitoes technique', which is a method to combat dengue break at a locality. This technique is used to suppress natural populations of Aedes aegypti using super-sterile males. The sterilized male mosquitoes that are released will mate with female mosquitoes, which are the vector for the diseases. After that, the females’ eggs will be unfertilized so they cannot reproduce. The result will be the mosquito population will decline without any impact on other mosquito species or the environment. This is the safest way to control the mosquito population and reduce the disease infection. I had done this mini project of transportation and shipment of mosquitoes in about 5 weeks to determine the appropriate temperature for transport the sterile pupae to the selected locality such as Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar and Singapore. In this mini project, I was found the the suitable temperature for transportation of pupae is at 8 degree celcius.
