My name is Alain E. Medina. I´m chemical engineer and I have 15 years’ experience in the biotech industry, focused on downstream processing. I have a deep working knowledge in recombinant protein purification from lab to large scale, including cGMP manufacturing processes; using chromatography and non-chromatography principles. I’ve been responsible for the purification of commercial and clinical batches, showing a high level of commitment and a high capacity for solving problems. I have good teamwork capabilities. I have been team leader for more than six years, achieving a high standing results and greater level of commitment and dedication of the teammates. I am very familiar with the operation of all kind of chromatography systems, columns and column packing, TFF, filtration systems and I´ve been involved in the start-up and qualification of equipment of downstream processing. I also have experience in process development, process analysis and process optimisation.
