Successfully carried out a research project titled "Synthesis of AAPT fluorescent bioconjugate using solid phase peptide synthesis". Gained hands-on experience in solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), including resin loading, coupling reactions, and cleavage techniques. Performed fluorescent labeling of peptides for bioconjugate formation and studied their biochemical properties Utilized analytical techniques such as HPLC, for product characterization. Developed strong skills in laboratory techniques, troubleshooting synthetic challenges, and maintaining accurate experimental records. Worked independently and collaboratively in a research-driven academic environment, enhancing problem-solving and scientific communication skills

Gained hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry under the guidance of Dr. M. Muthukrishnan. Trained in setting up organic reactions, purification using column and combi-flash chromatography, and spectroscopic characterization of synthesized compounds. Contributed to the development of a novel strategy for synthesizing triazole-N-oxides. Understood the ethical and practical foundations of laboratory research in an advanced scientific setting.

Trained in RNA isolation using TRIzol, quantification with Nanodrop, and RNA gel electrophoresis. Performed cDNA synthesis and quantitative RT-PCR using the SYBR Green method. Gained exposure to advanced molecular biology techniques including: 1.Mammalian cell culture 2.Cytotoxicity assays (MTT) 3.Western blotting 4.Annexin V staining for apoptosis Use of hemocytometer and sonication equipment. Developed observational, technical, and teamwork skills in a high-standard research environment
