Research Scientist in the pharmaceutical development team at Eupraxia pharmaceuticals Inc., BC with 5 years industrial experience. Current responsibilities include developing sustained released polymeric formulations. Past experience in small oral, IV and IP preclinical formulation development of small molecules to enable clinical translation. Enabling formulation development through solubility enhancement techniques like lipidic excepients, micronization, permeation enhancers, etc. Experience in drug product characterization and interpretation of techniques like XRPD, DSC, TGA, HPLC and particle size distribution. Supporting late stage manufacturing of drug product. I completed my doctoral studies at University Laval in the faculty of pharmacy. My research project involved characterization and delivery of drugs using biopolymer nanoparticles. I have about 3 years of work experience in biologics drug delivery and have worked in the process and product characterization team at Biocon Research Limited in India. Currently I am trying to garner expertise in the field of process development and characterization of polymeric nano carriers in drug delivery. I am also studying the toxicology and biological functions of nanoparticles for drug delivery.
