- Cooperates with regional and international bodies and organizations such as WTO, UNCTAD, ESCWA, etc. and prepares necessary reports on these organizations activities in connection and in co-ordination with other competent bodies in Qatar. - Develops, in consultation with the Department Staff, relations with the organizations and bodies related to the Ministry's activities and responsibilities outside Qatar. - Works and contributes within the Department team to propose methods, approaches and mechanisms that regionally and internationally develop foreign trade, rationalize imports, diversify exports and achieve a well-balanced geographical distribution network. - Conducts studies, analyses and negotiations of draft laws and agreements proposed to be concluded with other countries, and also monitors their implementation. In addition, prepares reports on the commercial relations resulting from these agreements. - Follow-up tasks and works of WTO, regional and international organizations, authorities and trade groups in both commercial and investment fields, in addition to preparing necessary reports on their activities in co-ordination with competent authorities. - Monitor the implementation of resolutions and recommendations issued by WTO and regional and international organizations in both commercial and investment fields, in addition to following-up government related bodies to ensure implementation of commitments, resolutions and recommendations issued by these organizations as per the commitments listed in the state lists and commitments of other organizations

Project Development - Collaborate with the Regional Director and the regional office program staff in the identification and evaluation of emerging and key development trends and priorities in a particular region. - Identify and develop research proposals in accordance with JICA policies. - Explore the potential for support and participation by the Japanese research community. - Provide technical supervision, including analysis of interim reports and consultants in support of projects. - Ensure all aspects of the JICA project adhere to the budget. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and monitoring of cost variances to ensure that the project stays on track financially in compliance with requirements. - Reviews final project reports of research results, and negotiates revisions and/or additional research requirements.

- Analyze WTO members’ countries' proposals, especially in the field of Market Access and Trade and Environment. - Prepare Egypt negotiation’s position in the negotiations of (WTO) and mainly in the Trade and Environment issues. - Provide different Egyptian negotiating parties with decision-making support based on economic analysis for single country and multi-countries models. - Provide advisory consultations and strategies on the WTO issues to the non-governmental sectors. - Secure the cooperation and support of the agencies on the High National Committee. - Write reports and economic studies both in Arabic and English Language. - Compile all trade–related laws and regulations with the cooperation of other governmental bodies. - Prepare responses to the WTO inquires and questionnaires on the Egyptian trade policy.

- Provide coherent advice on diverse domestic and international trade trends. - Steer decision-making on issues related to providing information on trade to various government agencies, international organizations, and others. - Follow up and evaluate bilateral, plurilateral, regional, and multilateral agreements and developments in trade zones. - Present Egypt in the periodic negotiation meetings of NAMA that are held in the WTO headquarter in Geneva.
