I’ve worked with many technologies in LiveStyled due to the dynamic nature of the business requiring the backend to integrate with many systems from ticketing systems to payment gateways and POS systems to using lots of different technologies like Serverless Lambda, Aurora, Elasticsearch etc. The biggest challenge in this role was being able to deliver a backend infrastructure that is stable, well tested and highly scalable, the servers needed to be able to handle the traffic that would peak from 1000 req/min to 100,000 req/min in course of a couple of minutes. We delivered a system and migrated all the old codebase into the new infrastructure that was tested up to 800,000 req/min and was following the best practices both from a performance and clean code perspective, that happened over the course of 2 years.
