Qualifications: Business Studies Graduate - Cambridge International College, London Amitesh is currently the Founder for Pacific Recycling Foundation (PRF). Amitesh also has bee Director- Chief Executive Officer of Waste Recyclers Fiji Ltd (WRFL) and joined the company in 2005 as the General Manager. Over a period of time, and due to his commitment to the company, Amitesh’s role changed and even when he was providing consultancy services, all major decisions about the company was made by him or in consultation with him. Amitesh has the ultimate responsibility for the overall coordination of WRFL activities, its branches and the day-to-day administration of the company. This includes the successful implementation of financial and strategic planning. Several key milestone achievements of the company are attributed to Amitesh’s visionary leadership and a sense of deeply rooted values and principles. Amitesh is also a strong advocate for recycling and has a deep sense of commitment to Fiji informal waste picker community. Amitesh’s long-term engagement with WRFL and the experience and skills he possesses in business management, policy development, advocacy, lobbying, stakeholder and media engagement as well as the technical and institutional capacity forms part of his varying approach to support the transfer of those skills and mentoring of staff at different levels. Amitesh’s area of work has been Project Management and ranges within areas of Properties, Business Strategies, Finance, Policy Development and Implementation, Human Resource Management and Management Support. Amitesh is also the founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation (registration under process). Amitesh also has keen interest in social justice and human rights and also involved in his capacity as a Consultant and later as an Operations Manager at the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre (from 2014 to February 2022) and currently serves as a Board Trustee. Notable Achievement: 2011- Published a novella based on child abuse titled “Amma…a frail wooden door”
