Teaching and research interests in Corporate Finance, Mutual Funds, Corporate Governance, Financial Markets, Behavioural Finance. Published in Quarterly Journal of Finance and Accounting (Creighton University, USA, ABDC-B), Vikalpa (IIM A), Decision (IIM Calcutta, Springer), Journal of Advances in Management Research (IIT Delhi, Sage), IUP Journal of Corporate Governance (ABDC- C),etc. My research in mutual funds examined their performance, valuation of illiquid securities, issues in corporate governance questioning effectiveness of regulations and policy. Most of this research was a first of its kind in India leading to wide spread changes in the regulations of the Indian Mutual Fund Industry by the market regulator- SEBI. 4 research papers awarded the best paper award in conferences. Author of 1 book and co-author of 2 edited books. Awarded funding for 4 research projects. Presented research in 10 international conferences in Milan(Italy), Izmir (Turkey), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), New York (USA), Prague (Czech Republic), Santiago de Chile (Chile), Latvia (virtual), Hungary (virtual), and Miami (USA). Made 22 presentations of research work in National conferences. Keynote speaker, Chairman of Technical Sessions and Discussant of research papers in conferences. Served as a Member of the Capital Markets Sub Committee on Corporate Governance of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Served as a member of the University's Admission Advisory Committee and Sub-Committees on 'Payment Gateway' and on' Online Aptitude test.' Our suggestions for making Admission Payments online were implemented by the University. Enjoyed working in Financial Services particularly in the mutual fund industry: equity research, investments, back office, marketing, accounting, compliances and call money market operations. Launched two mutual funds. Was a member of Investment Committee responsible for investing corpus of funds. Happy to contribute in any academic collaboration😊😊
