Responsibilities included analyzing the structure of the existing hydro poles to ensure safety and designing required supports such as anchors for the poles. Responsible for AutoCAD drawings of the Projects. Responsible for writing and compiling engineering reports for the project permits. • Analyzing the structure of the hydro pole to ensure the stability of the pole after attaching the new communication cable using the surveys collected from the site and MS Excel. • Design and propose required supports and changes to ensure the safety and stability. • Prepare the AutoCAD drawings required for the permit. • Write and compile the engineering report required for the permit.

My key responsibilities included assisting the construction manager in the development of work schedules and on-site shipment schedules. I utilized AutoCAD to design drawings and blueprints for projects (20 – 30 drawings cumulatively). I ensured the observation of safety procedures in all work areas and on company construction sites. ❖ Key Achievements: ✔ Facilitated inspections of work area facilities and actively endorsed the use of safety equipment and the responsible use of machinery at all times ✔ Compiled project cost estimations

My major responsibilities included assisting Professor Hooton in testing concrete and cement aggregation products – which had been submitted by companies for quality assurance testing. I conducted comprehensive, quality testing of products & compounds were carried out in order to determine the reliability and feasibility of each product. ❖ Key Achievements: ✔ Test preparation involved the casting of mortar bars, cubes ,concrete prisms and cylinders with different compositions ✔ Running endurance and strength tests, strength gain and expansion tests. Sulphate attack tests (to test Alkali reactions) were also conducted ✔ Responsible for collecting the resulting data, entering data onto tables and writing reports which discussed the text findings and conclusions

My key duties included researching online periodicals (peer-reviewed and other) in order to compile a database (MS Word) of articles pertaining to research on management strategies. I was responsible for data entry, organization and the preparation of summaries for each article in the database. ❖ Key Achievement: ✔ Articles were categorized according to keywords and abstracts

I worked with general contractors and subcontractors in order to ensure that documents and contracts met project deadlines. I was responsible for supervising on-site work and working with AutoCAD to view and revise drawings and plans. ❖ Key Achievements: ✔ Collecting samples from poured concrete for quality testing, also collected on-site steel samples for lab analysis (Strength & endurance testing) ✔ Schedule construction and contract work - ensuring that projects, work did not overlap – enabling jobs/ projects to be completed quickly and efficiently ✔ Ensuring subcontractor commitments are consistent with contract documents and that deadlines were met
