I used my creative skills and eye for detail as a part-time Biscuit Icer, at high-end biscuit company, Biscuiteers.

Since June I have worked with Bright Ideas Colouring Company to design several colour-in activity sheets for children - although adults have enjoyed them too! These activity sheets are offered to families in restaurants and cafes to keep children entertained and occupied while they wait for food, or while parents can catch-up over coffee!

I designed and painted five individual wedding themed stickers for small glass bottles. My client wanted to convey to the public their ability to offer personalised wedding favours.

I have worked on and off as a freelance storyboard artist to advertising agency TBWA\LONDON. I have produced a range of storyboard images for advertising campaign pitches and advertising imagery.

I had a three month internship at a gallery and edition print shop called Nelly Duff. I was responsible for a variety of roles and tasks including writing receipts, handling high quality prints, preparing prints for shipping, unpacking deliveries, creating labels for their print filing system and providing designs for their packaging and social media outlets.

I was an art assistant to artist Lauren Baker. Since September I have helped facilitate a workshop with Lauren at the Tate Britain. My roles included laying out tables with tools and materials, setting up an art display, and greeting and helping visitors. I've also produced work for Lauren for a Christmas window display in Selfridges (October 2013). My creative skills came into play where I designed and painted a deer skull, and fixed up another painted deer skull for the display. Furthermore I've helped produce designs and work for her solo show, which included six different animal skulls, which are on display at the Hang Up Gallery on Stoke Newington Highstreet (December 2013).

I was one of several winners of the Powered by Nature award. As european communication students, we were briefed to co-create a social media campaign on energy and nature. It is jointly organized by the IUCN Commission on Education and Communication and the Alcoa Foundation. We had an intensive five day retreat on 26-30th August in Starnmeer, the Netherlands. During this time we co-create a social media campaign titled "Better in the Dark", which encouraged the public to switch off electric appliances, and enjoy more naturalistic and eco-friendly activities. www.betterinthedark.com My role involved presenting and pitching ideas, as well as using my creative skills to help design, illustrate, and animate short videos for the campaign.

I'm a freelance illustrator, comic and storyboard artist. I've worked with a number of clients, which include conservation researchers in America to create comics on animal conservation, and advertising agency TBWA in London to create a series of storyboards. I've also worked with UK charity Findacure as a graphic communicator for workshops/socialising events with disabled teenagers. I create my own greeting cards that I sell on Etsy, as well as create bespoke/personalised illustrations.

Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Graphic Design pathway). This year included a variety of project briefs, which allowed me to fully flexand develop my creative skills. For example designing merchandise for a band and advertisement for a theatre production. This intensive year installed me with superb time management and organisation skills, and helped me realise my passion for illustration.

The BA (Hons) Illustration and Visual Media course at LCC seeks to challenge existing preconceptions and definitions of illustration and encourages students to view themselves as thinkers as well as image makers. Taught by a team of practicing artists, designers, researchers and academics, all the tutors on your course are actively involved in scholarly investigation, graphic design and art related professional practice. The course fosters an understanding of contemporary creative practice, critical debate and scholarly responsibility. The course offers you the intellectual and creative space to examine existing definitions of illustration whilst exploring future directions. This enables students to work in a broad range of media, processes and techniques. Nothing is 'off limits'.

I completed a Diploma in Professional Studies. This diploma allowed me a year of out of university to gain experience within the creative industry. I worked with a variety of professionals, and developed and learnt new skills. I have developed as a creative practioner and gained a great understanding and appreciation for the arts and living as a freelancer.
